Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee consists of five members, two of whom are the most recent past presidents of MONE and three of whom are elected by MONE for a term of one year. The immediate Past President is designated as Chair of the committee. The Nominating Committee prepares a slate of candidates for President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and three members of the Nominating Committee that reflect the broad membership and program interest of MONE.  The list of candidates is submitted to the Secretary at least 30 days prior to the date of election. 

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee is responsible for researching legislation, distributing information to MONE membership, making recommendations on issues related to health care and encouraging MONE members’ involvement in health care legislation activities and related functions. 

Program Committee 

Committee Chair -Leslie Simmons
Carroll Hospital Center 

The Program Committee works to design program elements and offerings for  MONE membership on a year-to-year basis and will organizes educational events, speakers and topics of general interest to the membership at large 

Scholarship Committee

Committee Chair - Terry Gaffney
Nursing Spectrum 

The Scholarship Committee shall review requests for MONE scholarship funds and shall make recommendations to the Board of the amount, number and proposed candidates for any MONE scholarship. 

Membership Committee

Committee Chair –Marcia Dawson
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Brightview Senior Living  

The Membership Committee reviews applications, makes membership recommendations to the Board of MONE, recruits new members, enhances retention of members, and maintains the membership roster. 
 

Bylaws Committee

Committee Chair – Marcie A. Dawson
Baltimore-Washington Medical Center  

The Bylaws Committee reviews the bylaws annually and make recommendations for amendments to MONE members.
